The Gunners are failing to fire this season — both in attack and defence.
So in a desperate attempt to fix things up, new Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is willing to let his star forward walk free while simultaneously striking a deal to bring a Premier League-winning defender to the Emirates.

MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER RUMOURS:
ARSENAL BOSS ARTETA MAKES STONES TOP TARGET
John Stones is a shock target for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
The Manchester City centre-back wants first-team football to boost his Euro 2020 hopes and claim he could make the move to North London.
Stones is represented by the same agency as Arteta and would be keen to discuss a move — even if it is just on loan.
His season has been plagued by injury and loss of form and there has been no sign of a new contract offer from City with just two years left to run on his deal.
There is a feeling City boss Pep Guardiola has lost faith in Stones and England boss Gareth Southgate wants his star men playing every week.
25-year-old Stoneswas a key member of the City squad that won back-to-back titles was first choice for England at the 2018 World Cup but has since fallen out of favour — playing just ten Premier League games this term.

LACAZETTE WANTED BY ATLETI
Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette.
claims the Frenchman is being lined up for a move to Spain by Diego Simeone.
However, Atletico will only move for Arsenal ace Lacazette if they fail to secure a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan will leave PSG this summer after entering the final six months of his contract.
Cavani has scored an incredible 198 goals in just 291 games during his time in the French capital.
However, last summer’s arrival of Mauro Icardi has seen him make just eight Ligue 1 appearances this season.
There are plenty of other suitors for Cavani, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all linked — but a failed bid means Atleti could be forced to look elsewhere and they think they’ve found their answer in Lacazette.

‘ANTI-PIQUE CLAUSES’ APPEARING IN BARCELONA CONTRACTS
Barcelona are inserting ‘anti-Pique’ clauses in the contracts of new signings after growing frustrated at the defender’s activities off the pitch, reports have claimed.
The Nou Camp legend has poured time and money into revamping tennis’ Davis Cup as well as buying a controlling stake in Andorra FC.
And club chiefs were reportedly furious that a film about former Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann staying with the side before he completed his move to Barca was produced by Pique’s production company.
But claim his entrepreneurial pursuits have angered Barcelona bosses who want football to be the be all and end all for their highly paid stars.
And they claim that new deals now include a clause that curbs non-footballing commitments.
