The pieces of the puzzle are coming together for Melbourne Victory to welcome home former Johnny Warren Medalist Marco Rojas for his third stint at the A-League powerhouse.
Since departing Danish club SonderjyskE to return ‘home’ – the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as to where Rojas will end up.
Western United and the Wellington Phoenix were both in the mix, while it was confirmed he turned down an offer from Melbourne City yesterday.

Later today it will be announced that defender Corey Brown and the club have agreed to mutually terminate their contract, which will free up funds for Rojas.
Within 48 hours news is also expected to drop that Austrian Kristijan Dobras and Victory have agreed to mutually terminate their contract effective immediately, freeing up a Visa spot for Rojas.
Danish defensive midfielder Jakob Poulsen is another foreign player who could be released instead of Dobras in order to free up the necessary foreign visa spot. However, a mutual termination with defender Dobras remains the more likely scenario.
With an asking price of more than half a million dollars per-season it’s believed Rojas will commit to the club on a long-term deal of up to 3 years.
